Who we are

GuestBills is a hospitality billing tool for hotels, lodges, bars and restaurants. It lets venue staff keep a guest's tab in one place, and lets the guest see that same bill on their own phone while they are still at the venue.

GuestBills is operated by Samni E Egwu, Nigeria.

Any question about privacy, or to have your data deleted, write to seeasy.se@gmail.com.

Two kinds of people use GuestBills

Venue staff create an account and sign in. This is the owner, manager, front desk, waiters and stock staff of a venue.

Guests do not create an account and do not need to install anything. A guest opens a private link, or scans the QR code on their table or in their room, and sees only their own bill.

What we hold is different for each, so both are described below.

Information we collect from venue staff

All of this is needed for the app to work and for a venue to keep an honest record. There is no optional extra collection, and none of it is used for advertising.

Information about guests

A guest never types anything into GuestBills to be identified. Venue staff open a tab and may enter:

Both are optional. A tab can be opened with neither.

Alongside that, the venue records the bill itself: items, prices, quantities, payments received, and the date and time of each.

The venue decides what to enter and why. GuestBills stores it on that venue's behalf. If you are a guest and you want your name or phone number removed from a venue's records, ask the venue directly, or write to us and we will act on it.

Tips and service ratings

If a venue turns the feature on, a guest can record a tip for a named staff member and give a 1 to 5 star rating.

GuestBills does not move money. A tip recorded in the app is only a note that the guest intends to hand cash or a transfer to that person directly. The staff member confirms it once they have actually received it. Tip records are visible only to the staff member they name. Ratings are visible to the venue's owner.

What we do not collect

Who else can see the data

Your venue. Staff at your venue can see the venue's own tabs, items and records, according to their role. No venue can see another venue's data. This is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app.

Our hosting provider. GuestBills runs on Supabase, which provides the database, sign-in and hosting. The data is stored on servers in London, United Kingdom. Supabase processes it only to run the service for us and cannot use it for its own purposes.

Nobody else. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. We will only disclose data if the law requires it.

The guest bill link

Each tab has a private link containing a long random code. Anyone holding that exact link can see that one bill and nothing else. It cannot be guessed, and it shows nothing about any other tab, guest or venue. A venue can generate a new QR code at any time, which immediately kills the old one.

Treat your bill link like a receipt: it is not secret from whoever you hand it to.

How long we keep data

We keep a venue's records for as long as that venue uses GuestBills, because past bills are the venue's own business records.

If you delete your account, or a venue closes its account, we delete the personal data within 30 days.

Deleting your account and your data

You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data by writing to seeasy.se@gmail.com from the email address on your account. Full details are on the account deletion page.

We will delete your name, email address and sign-in credentials, and you will no longer be able to sign in.

Where you have entered bills on behalf of a venue, the venue keeps those bills as its own financial records, but your identifying details are removed from them. We do this because a venue is entitled to its own accounts, and because removing a bill entirely would falsify what a guest was actually charged.

Security

Children

GuestBills is a tool for people working in, or staying at, a hospitality business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and equivalent laws elsewhere, you may ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to seeasy.se@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell venue owners directly.
